Arthur F. Warner

Arthur F. Warner, 91, most recently of Clifton Park, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7th, 2024. He was born on Thursday, February 9th, 1933 in Cobleskill, NY; the son of A. Fento Warner and Sylvia A. Saunders Warner.

He was a graduate of the former Richmondville Central School, Class of 1951, a graduate of Clarkson College in Potsdam, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a graduate of RPI, where he obtained his Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering.

Arthur dedicated 33 years of his life to New York State Departments of Health and Environmental Conservation. He was an Assistant District Engineer, Regional Director of Environmental Quality Engineering and Director of the Bureau of Wastewater Facilities Operations, retiring in 1991. He was Executive Secretary for New York Water Pollution Control Federation during the late 1960's.

He served in the US Army from 1954-1956 and was a proud member of the American Legion, Post #1040 in Delmar, BPOE Bethlehem Lodge #2233, and Bethlehem Masonic Lodge #85 where he was a past Master.

Arthur had a passion for flying airplanes. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, theater, travel, and genealogy. He was a Civil War buff. He was an antique dealer, operating "As It Was", while exhibiting at shows from New England to Georgia and most recently on eBay.

Arthur married Shirley on June 26, 1954, and together they shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Warner; his daughters, Debra L. Parker (Karl) of Delmar, NY and Susan A. Waters (Steve) of Ballston Spa, NY; his sons, Alan A. Warner (Lisa) of New Hampshire and Scott D. Warner (Carol) of Arizona; his sister, Louise A. Hughes (Owen) of Tennessee; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Arthur's life on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 2:00pm at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043. Burial will take place in Summit Cemetery at a later date.
