Arthur Sternheimer

Richmondville- Arthur C. Sternheimer, 68, of McDonald Road, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Albany Medical Center.
Arthur was born January 22, 1940 in Passaic, NJ, the son of Arthur and Josephine (Lalomia) Sternheimer. He was raised in Richmondville, and then raised his family in New Jersey and New York, before moving back to Richmondville upon his retirement in 2003. Arthur was a devoted family man, also an avid hunter, and enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann (Tripovich) Sternheimer, whom he married October 21, 1961; 4 daughters: Joann Sternheimer of Albany, Christine Cummings of Oak Ridge, NJ, Sheryll Tahiri of Parsippany, NJ, and Kimberly Sternheimer of Richmondville; 4 grandchildren: Matthew, Daniel and Joey Cummings, and Isabella Tahiri; and his sister, Carol Holliday of Richmondville;
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 3 at St. Anna's Catholic Church, State Route 10, Summit, NY. Friends are also invited to attend visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill. Burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
