Richmondville- Annette B. Vedder, 81, formerly of Richmondville, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford, NY, where she had been a resident for the past few years.
Born May 15, 1930 in Fitchburg, MA, she was a daughter of Eugene and Regina (St. Laurent) Maurice.
In 1992, Annette moved from Washington D.C., where she was a private duty nurse, back to the Richmondville area. For several years she was a nurse at the former Cobleskill Community Hospital, and also at the VA Medical Center in Albany for nine years. She was also a former EMT for the Richmondville Volunteer Emergency Squad.
Survivors include her children: Elaine (Larry) Missenis of Hedgesville, WV, Linda Porter of East Meredith, NY, Roger (Bonnie) Rouleau of Greenwich, NY and Curtis Vedder of Ballston Spa, NY; two brothers: Roger Maurice of Springfield, MA, Ronald (Carol) Maurice of Richmondville; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 181 Main St., Worcester, NY with Father Ronald Green as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Burial will be in Richmondville Rural Cemetery.
