Anna Mae Lesta

Seward- Anna Mae Marie Lesta, 81, of Lowe Rd., passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side.

Born May 13, 1938,  in Southampton, she was the daughter of the late Merrill and Mary (White) Nelson.

Anna Mae was predeceased in 2018 by her husband, Stanley Paul Lesta Jr, whom she married on March 27, 1958, her son, William Lesta and one brother, Merrill Nelson Jr.

She was a Eucharistic Minister at The Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Anna Mae was formerly a bookkeeper for the Bank of The Hamptons in Southampton, NY and was a member of the Dunes Post VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son, Paul (Laurie) Lesta of Seward; one daughter, Julianna (Mike) Ritter; one brother, Robert Nelson of TN; and seven grandchildren: Danielle, Zachary, and Nicholas Lesta, Kristina Bonney, Shannon Williamson, Wesley Wojcik, and Michael Ritter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, February 21, 2020 at The Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, 168 Hill St., Southampton, NY.  Burial will follow in the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery.
