Charleston Four Corners - Anna May Rickard, 82, of State Route 162, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.
Born April 24, 1932 in Rural Grove, she was the daughter of George B. and Charlotte Anna (McMillen) Watson.
Anna May was a lifelong area resident and member of the Charleston Christian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking, reading, watching and feeding the birds. Most importantly, Anna May loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by a grandson and great-grandson.
Survivors include her husband: Howard J. Rickard, Sr., whom she married June 24, 1950; her children: Kathleen (Charles) McMullen of Charleston Four Corners, Howard J. (Cathy) Rickard, Jr. of Cobleskill, George (Beth) Rickard of Bismarck, ND, Ronald (Deborah) Rickard of Charleston Four Corners, Stephen (Claudia) Rickard of Canajoharie, and Barbara (Eli) Hall of Amberson, PA; twenty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Charleston Christian Church, 1380 Lykers Rd., Sprakers with Rev. Brett Popp officiating. A period of visitation will take place at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. Spring interment will be in Charleston Four Corners Cemetery.
