Richmondville- Dr. Angelo D. Colombo, 88, formerly of Brooklyn, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at Eden Park Healthcare Center in Cobleskill where he had been a resident for the past year.
Dr. Colombo was born April 16, 1918 in Brooklyn, the son of Angelo and Mariannina (Giordano) Colombo.
A retired dentist from Brooklyn, Dr. Colombo, moved to Richmondville four years ago from Massapequa with his daughter. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. As a lieutenant, in 1955 he was medically discharged.
He was predeceased by his wife, Veronne (Solberg) Colombo, who died August 1, 1995.
Survivors include his daughter, Randine (Gene) DiMarco of Richmondville; his son, Ronald (Nancy) Colombo of Kerhonkson, NY; and 5 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Long Island. There will be no calling hours.
