Cobleskill : Amy C. Hogan, 35, of Grovenors Corners Rd., died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY.
Amy was born in Cobleskill on March 20, 1975. She graduated from Cobleskill Central School in 1993 and attended SUNY Delhi for her nursing degree.
Amy worked at the Cobleskill Regional Hospital and most recently as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.
Amy was a devoted nurse and received many accreditations through programs offered by the hospitals.
She was also a member of the Cobleskill Rescue Squad.
In her free time she enjoyed swimming, water skiing, listening to music and spending time with her children and family.
Amy was predeceased by her husband, Christopher Hogan in February of 2011.
Amy is survived by her children: Alisandra Pleickhardt, Brody Pleickhardt, Nicole Butler and Danielle Butler, all of Cobleskill; her parents: Daniel and Carol Schulte of Cobleskill; sister: Angie (Andrew) Harrington of Cobleskill; nephew: Joshua Harrington of Cobleskill; grandparents: Bert and Helen Schulte of Cobleskill; aunts; Nancy (David) DeSando of Cobleskill, Mary Beth Minson of Garwood, N.J. and several cousins.
Amy's devotion to caring for others will continue as she was an organ donor and she gave the gift of site by donating her corneas to the Lion's Eye Bank.
A Memorial service will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held from 10am-12pm on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, NY. Cremation will take place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady.
