Cobleskill- Alice I. Hotaling, 94, formerly of North Street, Cobleskill, New York died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at her daughter’s home, with her family by her side.
Born on April 7, 1928 in New York City, she was the daughter of Carl Nicholaus and Walpurqa Collete Nicholaus. She spent most of her life in the local area.
Alice was the owner of Majestic Gardens in Warnerville.
She was a member of the Lawyersville Reformed Church.
Alice was a mother and homemaker for her 6 children. She enjoyed square dancing and her garden. She was member of the Cobleskill Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Hotaling and 4 of her children, John Hotaling, Sue Trendell, Richard Hotaling, and Patricia Fink.
Alice is survived by her son, David Hotaling of Johnstown, NY; daughter, Carol and Chris Conley of Sharon Springs, NY; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will take place in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery on Friday, May 26th at 2:00pm.
