Town of Fulton: Alfred E. Bellinger, 84, passed away peacefully at the home farm on Thursday, February 14, 2013.
Alfred was born on December 24, 1928 in the Town of Fulton, on the home farm, the son of the late Grace (Wormer) and Ervin Bellinger.
Alfred graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1944, at the age of sixteen. In his younger years he worked for a short time as a Union laborer, helping to build the Mohonasen and Linton High Schools. Alfred was a lifelong dairy farmer and logger.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and was a member of the West Fulton Rod & Gun Club.
He was married on August 21, 1954 to Mary (Fancher) Bellinger, who predeceased him on Septemeber 10, 2011.
Alfred is survived by his children: Rex (Charlotte Bell) Bellinger, Scott (Jackie Trosterud) Bellinger, Paul (Tina) Bellinger and Martha Bellinger all of Middleburgh; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters: Bernice Ammons, Marion Nichols, Anna Mae Raines and several nieces.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Charlotte Bell for all of her comfort and care during his last days and also to all of the Hospice caregivers.
There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation took place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady.
